April 11, 2008 update

Dr. Montabono spoke with us last night and said he would remove the bolt out of Steve's head, it measures the pressure in the brain, some time today. He also said he is looking towards possibly doing the surgery on Tuesday. More blood tests were done today. Not much planned over the weekend, just waiting for surgery.
Thanks for your continued prayers,
Cheri

Hi Steve, I've been thinking of all the things I remember growing up with you around. I have to say one of the most memorable ones is when you came to my parents house and explained that my boyfriend and I had been seen stealing a STOP sign!

Somehow, I doubt you ever forgot the look on my face. :-)

I thought I was going to pass out I was so MAD, thinking "why the heck would we take a STOP sign?" and "if we took a STOP sign where would we put it?". In fact I'm pretty sure that I said that out loud too.

Of course you where being so very serious, my parents where having fits, I'm sure I saw you fighting back a smile a time or two.

I remember driving to the place in question the next day, and holy cow, there was a STOP sign right there where it was suppose to be!!

It must have been the STOP sign fairy that took it to start with. :-)

A giant hug,

Bridge

Hi Cheri,

We keep checking in on this Blog to see Steve's latest condition. This is a great idea. We are praying for a miracle for Uncle Steve. He is a great man and if anybody can make it through this, he can.

We love you.

John, Hillary and kids.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you all this morning and throughout the day today. We pray that God guides the hands of the surgeon as he operates.
