April 9, 2008 update

Steve is stabilizing more, so surgery on his neck and back fractures will happen in the near future. We will let you know the date of the surgery. They are allowing Steve to breathe on his own at times, he is still on the ventilator and still unconscious. Steve has opened his eyes a few times, nurses say it is a reflex.
Dr's say that Steve's spinal chord has been damaged so there will be some paralysis, but we are praying for a full recovery. Thank you for your prayers, please pray with us for a miracle.

Cheri and family,

I just wanted to let you know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know we didn't spend much time other then summers as kids with all of you, however, I have many fond memories of those summers. I remember we couldn't wait to see the farm and valley, and next was to make a b-line to your house! I enjoyed the one reunion we were able to make years ago when my first daughter was just a baby. She is now 11, and I have another daughter who is 10 and a son who is almost 6. Time flys by. I miss you all tons and you have always been in my thoughts and memories! I have many fond memories of Steve and have always loved his example of a good father and husband. I always could see the love in his eyes for his family.....even a few times when he had to be stern. I loved that about him and admired his ability to do that! I see alot of Steve in my own husband who is someone who jumps into any project and likes to work with his hands.

I am so thankful we have the gospel and that we can see eachother again someday. I am hoping in this lifetime, but am comforted to know for sure in heaven. We love you all so much and will continue to pray for all of you!
